CREATIVITY GROUPS
Express Yourself!
One of the most transformational journeys you will ever take is through the process of your creative self-expression. Creativity is an innate gift we ALL possess--one that can connect us to ourselves, to one another, to the larger Universal life force of Nature and Creation and to a deep source of energy and Vitality.
Below are a selection of groups I offer at different times throughout the year.
WILDD: WOMEN INSPIRED WITH LUSCIOUS DARING DREAMS
I am deeply inspired by Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes' brilliant book "Women Who Run With The Wolves," and run expressive arts therapy groups for women where we explore how the Wild Woman archetype can inform our lives, and become a source of empowerment, wisdom and creativity.

I am currently registering women for the next 8 week series beginning in June of 2024
If you are interested, please contact me at judynoddinmft@gmail.com and put "Interested in Wild Woman Group" in the subject heading. Or you can reach me at 510-901-8044 to set up a complementary phone session to determine if the group would be a fit for you.

What Happens When Women Open To Their Deepest Wild Nature?

Clarissa Pinkola Estes, Ph.D. has a doctorate in ethno-clinical psychology, meaning she is an expert on the study of groups or tribes. She works with women who wish to access their true natural self which may have been lost for any number of reasons. She consults their dreams, their memories, and explores with them certain tales, legends, and myths which pervade all cultures and reveal deep truths about the feminine soul.
Estes says:
“When women reassert their relationship with the wildish nature, they are gifted with a permanent and internal watcher, a knower, a visionary, an oracle, an inspiratrice, an intuitive, a maker, a creator, an inventor, and a listener who guide, suggest, and urge vibrant life in the inner and outer worlds. When women are close to this nature, the fact of that relationship glows through them. This wild teacher, wild mother, wild mentor supports their inner and outer lives, no matter what."
“So the word wild here is not used in its modern perjorative sense, meaning out of control, but in its original sense, which means to live a natural life.
“With [our true nature] as ally, as leader, model, teacher, we see, not through two eyes, but through the eyes of intuition which is many-eyed. When we assert intuition, we are therefore like the starry night: we gaze at the world through a thousand eyes."

“The wild woman carries the bundles for healing; she carries everything a woman needs to be and to know … As in all art, she resides in the guts, not in the head … She whispers from night dreams, she leaves behind on the terrain of a woman’s soul a coarse hair and muddy footprints … She is the voice which says, ‘This way, this way.” … She is from the future and from the beginning of time.”
THE ARTISTS WAY
Jump start your creativity. Discover how to tap into your full potential. Find your “voice”. Express your authentic self. Dissolve negative conditioning to unblock your energy. Do this in a safe, supportive process group. This group is not just for artists. It works for everyone. It is not group therapy: it is a discussion and support group; it is practical, effective and therapeutic!
The book, "The Artist’s Way – A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity," by Julia Cameron, has been used by people worldwide to help people overcome blocks to their creativity. It's “tools” include: The Artist’s Pages (daily journaling), Play Dates (fun time alone to nurture your self), and creativity exercises that accompany every chapter. Whether you identify as an artist or not, this group can be an incredibly useful resource to help you tap into your creative side which can benefit many parts of your lives.
This 12 week program using Julia Cameron’s book, The Artist’s Way will guide you through the process of connecting with your inner artist, opening to your intuitive self, and transforming your relationship with your inner critic.
To quote Julia, "We want to set aside time for our creative work, but we feel we should do something else instead. As blocked creatives, we focus not on our responsibilities to ourselves, but on our responsibilities to others. We tend to think such behavior makes us good people. It doesn't. It makes us frustrated people." She goes on to say:
"The essential element in nurturing our creativity lies in nurturing ourselves."
Join the group and nurture yourself through nurturing your creative life.
